German investors continue to appreciate this opportunity, which allows them to discover the dynamism of Italian companies while simultaneously discussing trends in various sectors between the Italian and German markets. This exchange enriches the dialogue, strengthens the ongoing focus, and fosters better valorization and increased visibility for our companies, thanks to the involvement of strategic investors.”

Bruno de Lencquesaing of Quirin Privatbank AGI have discovered the dynamism of Italian Mid cap world in 2010 when Reply Germany bought one of the strong growing German Midcap companies in the IT sector; Syskoplan. During the last years I have become aware that to correctly follow many German industrial companies in different segments such as machine tool, IT, pharmacy, chemistry , aerospace, defense in Germany, it is necessary to follow Italian corporate of those sectors and especially the Midcap companies. Participating  at the annual Polytem conference is a chance that I can’t miss. The Italian Mittelstand must follow what happen in your different sectors in the German market , and the German institutional investors have to do the same”.

Horst Friedrich, Founding Partner of Advisos Corporate Finance, emphasizes: “In Germany, SMEs are considered the backbone of the German economy, we have about 3,4 million SMEs, which represent more than 99% of all Companies, with about 19 million employees. In Italy, there are about 4,6 million companies, of which 99,9% are SMEs. So backbone in Italy must even be stronger than in Germany. Both in Italy and German a very small part of all SMEs are stock listed, as somewhat typical for family owned business, resulting in a situation that sometimes less than 25% of the shares are free float. For international investors it is important to increase ways to get access to Italian stock listed SMEs. The conference of today in Frankfurt offers us an opportunity making meetings between management of attractive Italian stocklisted SMEs and investors possible, allowing an intense exchange of ideas and gaining knowledge for both sides”.
